About Geauga County, Ohio

In 1806, a small piece of land with a population of less than 3,000 people was carved out of the Connecticut Western Reserve and became known as the County of Geauga. Fast forward 200 years into the future and you will see that with 16 townships and 5 municipalities Geauga County is currently the third fastest growing county within Northeast Ohio.

Geauga County is located in the northeast quadrant of Ohio, approximately thirty-five miles east of the City of Cleveland and adjacent to the counties of Lake, Ashtabula, Trumbull, Portage, Summit, and Cuyahoga. Geauga County offers a perfect blend of beautiful countryside with a vast and open park system, interesting culture, captivating history, and unique shopping. We are home to the country’s second largest Amish population and some of the world’s best maple syrup.

Geauga County has numerous industrial parks located throughout the county. Contact us for information regarding industrial building sites and other business resources.
