You can view the case docket online at www.geaugacourts.org or your file can be made accessible by visiting the Clerk of Courts office located on the third floor of the courthouse.
When do I call in to find out if I have to show up for jury duty?
Listen to the Jury Duty Information Center recording the day prior to date you are scheduled to appear for jury duty.

How much advance notice will I get when I’m scheduled for jury duty?
If you do not receive a Group Number assignment and report date along with your questionnaire, you may be assigned a report date with two weeks advance notice.
Can I change the date I have to serve jury duty?
State your date change request in writing [preferably on your questionnaire] along with an explanation for the request, and submit it immediately to the appropriate court. You will receive your response in writing.
What if I’m on vacation during the date I have to serve?
State the dates of conflict in writing [preferably on your questionnaire] and submit it immediately to the appropriate court. You will receive a written response. The Geauga County Courts of Common Pleas try to accommodate juror vacation schedules whenever possible.
What if I’m a full time student?
Check the full time student box on the juror questionnaire and furnish full time attendance verification. Return with the questionnaire to the court to whom you are assigned.
What if I moved and don’t live in Geauga County anymore?
If you are no longer a resident of Geauga County, you are not qualified to serve as a juror and will be excused. Correct the residence address on the questionnaire and return it to the court in order that we may update our records.
How long will the trial last?
Generally trials last two to three days. The judge and the attorneys will tell you how long they expect the case to last on the first day of trial.
Where do I park when I report for jury duty?
Jurors are permitted to park in the Geauga county parking lot located on the eastside of the Chardon Square, across the street from the Courthouse. Jurors may also park around the town square or on Short Court Street which bisects the square. Please be sure you do not park in an area marked as a One Hour Zone. You should prominently display your juror notice on your dashboard to avoid a parking ticket.

The courthouse is the main building with the clock tower located in the middle of Chardon square. Map.
What do I do if I lost my jury paperwork?
Paperwork can be reproduced and re-sent to you by the court to whom you were assigned.
Where do I pay a traffic ticket?
Traffic tickets are handled by Chardon Municipal Court at 111 Water Street, Chardon, not the Court of Common Pleas.
